C.V Inventor's Through these lines I'll introduce to you the Egyptian Scientist Engineer SHAHAT SAID EL. SAYYED ABU ZEKRY
Eng.Inventor / Shahat Said EL Saied Abou Zekry
This Dialogue was carried on between the Director of site and the ingenious Scientist Engineer so as to know the background of his personality and his practical and scientific life.
Director of the Site: First of all you are welcome and congratulation for opening you Formal Site. Engineer: you to are welcome and thanks to all the visitors of my site. I wish them all to be benefited the knowledge and ideas published on the site. Director of the Site: First of all we would like to know come about you C.V. Engineer: O.K with pleasure: My name is SHAHAT SAID EL. SAYYED ABO ZEKRY. Date of birth: 1955. Place of birth: El-Bagour, Minoufiyyah governorate A.R.E Studies: 1- I got my Industrial Diploma from secondary industrial school - In Shebeen El Koum in May 1974 . with Grade Excellent. 2- BSc in Engineering and Technology. Helwan University in 1979. with Grade High good. Director of the Site: We came to understand from your C.V that you were very fond of Engineering and Technology in general and vehicle in special. So, could you, pls, tell us about your great and long way of work, since you site started your work specially in the field of vehicle servicing and repairing. Engineer: I was born in a little pit poor family with a large number of children. Most of them were professionals in vehicle servicing and driving. My late father " may his soul rest in peace " owned a workshop for car-servicing and repairing. Since I was young - a primary school pupil - I have been working side by side with my late father. I was his elder son, This was during my spare time and holidays. That was the reason I came to understand practically how to solve most of vehicles problems either in servicing or repairing. Director of the Site: Since when was that? Engineer: That was at the beginning of the sixty's. Director of the Site:
Was your late father " May God forgive him " looking after your studies Engineer: Of course. In fact my father was very interested in my studies beside teaching me how repair and service vehicles at his workshop till I became fond of this career. It became my best hobby, how to solve most of vehicles problems, what so ever complicated they were. By that time I became very famous among all my friends and classmates. I used to manufacture small moddles of cars in different shapes a toys by using iron wires and carton hard paper. Director of the Site: Did your classmates and friends pay you for these toys.? Engineer: Yes. Of course, but it was very few money paid by either classmates or their fathers. Director of the Site: Could you. Please tell us. How you learned from your father, was it by watching or by practical application or by asking others or by reading and going through books. Engineer: In the field of servicing and repairing cars. The learner must practice them practically. He must use his hands eyes and mind. This means practical application is mast. Also, I have to ask when I don't know. Director of the Site: When you didn't know. Was he your father only you ask or other? Engineer:
My late father was very interesting in teaching me the art of vehicles
mechanic in his workshop. I used to ask him too many questions up to the
extent that he, sometimes couldn't Director of the Site: what was the first invention you thought about? And when was that? Engineer: in fact, throughout my childhood my mind was full of thoughts and ideas. People around me thought me mad and what I was thinking about was a sort of madness. Even my father shared them their point of view. I felt sorry for them all as they were not well educated. My ideas and questions were over their standard of thinking, so they laughed at me. These behaviors made me insist on going on with my thoughts till I could achieve a satisfactory result. I kept my secrets secret intending not to reveal any of my new thoughts to anyone even to my father. One of the most essential and serious that will never be
eliminated from my memory, when I was thirteen schooling in the second year
prep school, our math teacher used to punish me every math period because of
not been able to memories the multiplication table of numbers. I tried hard
very hard to study it by heart but in vain. The cruelty of my math teacher
cased me to forget it more and more though I tried hard to memorize it.
These hardship made me think seriously to overcome this problem by creating
new method to prevent me from being punished by my math teacher for not
memorizing the multiplication table. I invented a new method how to multiply
numbers and get the results as quickly as possible even quicker than the
calculator. This method made my math teacher amazed and astonish. One day
he asked me a question which I'll never forget as long as I live. He said"
oh! Boy what happened to you ? did your father buy you a machinery memory?.
By that time I had never seen a calculator. Also he added you were very
lazy, not even able to answer any question concerning with the
multiplication table you were not fond of education" simply and humbly, with
all respect and fear, I answered: no, sir, it took me more than a year
thinking how to find a method to help me avoid punishment for not been Director of the Site: that was very marvelous, were there any other inventions you created during your childhood? And was that? Engineer: yes, of course. They were plenty, but I'll mention the very vital and important one. when I was fifteen, I invited the first car that can move on land, cross water, obstacle and can fly like a helicopter. I designed the outer shape and the gearbox that can change its function to suit any of these purposes. I mentioned this frankly to my father. He was very happy and rewarded me. He spreaded this news among vehicle's owners and drivers who were our customers. Director of the Site: why wasn't such an invention carried out by that time? Engineer: that was at the beginning of the seventy's when the people were narrow minded. They accused me half mad boy. This - in fact - frustrated and disappointed me and caused me despaired. I – from that time - insisted on keeping my thoughts and ideas secret, within myself so as I'll never be accused again. After long time, unfortunately I watched my invention on TV screen manufactured in another state. I became very sad and sorry for that great loss I faced at the beginning of my life. But that also gave self. Confidence I came to understand that I was not half minded boy and my thought was above all thought in the world. I gathered those who blamed me and accused me mad when I was young. I urged them all to try to watch this on TV. Any how this gave confidence that I am gifted. Director of the Site: who was your serious start in your academic studies in the field of vehicle service and repairing. Engineer:
After I had finished prep school study. I was completely interested in
vehicles. His pushed me to continue my studies in the same field. So I
joined the secondary industrial school, vehicles and tractors department
beside keeping myself working in my father's workshop. Day in day out I
developed my simple thoughts in adjusting cars till I became very famous all
over my town as I became able enough to repair the most difficult defects in
all sorts of vehicles and tractors. Also, I achieved marvelous advance in my
studies, that was why all my teachers and classmates considered me the top
of school. Years passed I finished my studies and graduated from the
industrial secondary school. I got my diploma with excellent grade. I got
the first grade Director of the Site:
Did you only satisfied with your university studies? Engineer: No, I am still very curious. I go through most scientific books and references in the same field I am interested in besides other sciences. Now , the internet and computer became my full hobby where I can obtain any information and researches that I need to enrich my knowledge and experience. It is not wise to be interested in one branch of science neglecting others. Director of the Site: Did you leave the work in your late father's workshop after you had got your university degree? Engineer: No. I didn't, as my father was sold by that time and I have to bear all hardships on behalf of him. Moreover. Our customers increased because they trusted me and noticed that I became very experienced and master in such career. I can deal with all parts of vehicles better than others. Director of
the Site: Did you join any government
service? Engineer: I didn't like to join government service. I decided to run my father's workshop as he was too weak to go on with such hard work alone. I developed the workshop. I replaced the old tools and machines with very modern ones that enabled me to save efforts and time. That were comprehensive machines which deal with all types of vehicles successfully. The modern tools can handle all part of the vehicle such as: electricity, suspended equipment, Stirrer, track machines, turnery, painting, welding and ternary of all sorts of metals. So, the workshop became able to handle service, repair , turnery and renew vehicles. Director of the Site: Let's go back again to your inventions and ideas! Did you give up thinking about inventions after facing mockery before? Engineer:
No, in the contrary. I was encouraged by what happened before, that
gave me self-confidence. I developed my experiments, I designed and
manufactured special equipments and tools that help in servicing and
repairing vehicles in stead of that manual ones. I developed the Director of the Site: What did you achieve after all of these efforts? Engineer:
After all of these efforts, I invented the first anti-theft system of
cars all over the world. Director of the Site: By the end of this interesting and enjoyable dialogue we have nothing but to offer you many thanks for all of these information you have said about your long and hard way you cut throughout your life. May God bless you. Engineer: Thank you. May God bless and reward you also.
